About
The Winter Arts Market has become a staple event in the Merseyside arts calendar, and 2011 sees the third installment of this special event. As a festive celebration of arts and crafts, the event is a creative showcase of the region’s most imaginative and skilled artists and designer-makers.
The 2010 Winter Arts Market saw over 4,000 shoppers in the space of a day, enjoying the grade I listed St George’s Hall transformed into a veritable treasure trove of locally made gifts and artworks from 120 stallholders.
Taking place in the lead up to Christmas Open Culture organise the event with Liverpool City Council to provide shoppers with an alternative to the high street, and provide support and opportunities to artists, designers and makers to exhibit, sell, promote, network and sell their work and services directly to the public.
Are you an artist or maker who wants to take part?
We’re full for the 2011 event, and have pencilled in the next dates as 8 & 9 December 2012, which are to be confirmed closer to the time. To hear news please follow us on our social network pages: Twitter @_openculture and Facebook www.facebook.com/OpenCultureLiverpool
