Liverpool accordionist Helen Maher will be playing at the Winter Arts Market from noon! A whirlwind of old-time gypsy jazz; she will move about the hall and perhaps make you feel like you’re walking down a bustling market  promenade in 1930’s Paris, mon cher.

Dave Ellwand from the Musicians Gallery at the Walker  tells us: “Helen’s lively but relaxed accordion playing combines a world of music in a box. Her playing conjures up nostalgia for an imagined past in a familiar place you’ve yet to visit. Her music has a predominant feel of French/Gypsy/American Jazz, and has elements that inspire dancing and delight the heart.” Lovely.

Welcome to the WAM blog!

We will be updating this blog regularly profiling some of the amazing artists and designer makers we have exhibiting at the Winter Arts Market @ St Georges Hall Liverpool. If you haven’t already got the date in your diary it’s 10am-5pm on 28th November 2009.

Whilst you sip a mulled wine or nibble on a mince pie, come and discovers thousands of unique paintings, photographs, paper goods, prints, sculpture, textiles, vintage clothing, ceramics, jewellery, glass, handmade toiletries, accessories and much more…
