It’s got to be Landbaby, baby!

For this weekend though, you’ll find her amidst the other 120 stalls, selling unique items from up to 30 different designers ranging from cards, gifts, homewares and accessories!

Pretty in Purlesque

Purlesque is a home of craft, knitting and handmade! Setup by Susan and Jane in 2006, their shop is based inside POP Boutique on Whitechapel, but Purlesque will also pop-up at the Winter Arts Market again this year, and we’re delighted to have them on board!

With a passion for knitting, crochet and textiles and a love of all things vintage, Susan and Jane make unique hand-crafted items for the individual and for the home.

If you’re looking to find that very special Christmas gift, Purlesque are definitely worth checking out!

If you can’t make it to the event this time (and why heavens not?!) you can always find Purlesque upstairs at Pop Boutique 58 Whitechapel, Liverpool, L1 6EG all year round…

Remember folks… crafts aren’t just for Christmas!

I’m in a wide Open Space…

As far as we know she isn’t a fan of Mansun, but irregardless, we love the photography of Wirralite Marianthi Lainas (aka Open Space Images) so we’re really pleased to have her selling work on the Saturday 8th of the Winter Arts Market (but it’s on all weekend) this December in Liverpool. Hurrah!

Her portfolio of work includes some unique images of the iconic Liverpool waterfront and maritime events as well as popular views of the Sefton coastline and the Wirral peninsula. She uses digital camera equipment with a variety of lenses and photographic filters.

Here’s what she told us

“Although I like to make images of whatever catches my eye and enjoy the challenge of new and varied subjects, as time goes on, I find that most of my time is spent out in the landscape”

“Seascapes are my particular love and form the subject of most of my photographic images. The stunning views around the North West coast, with its fantastic skies and ever-changing light provide a constant source of inspiration for me.”

You’ll have seen her beautifully captured images published in travel guides and magazines, and now you can find them as limited edition prints, cards and notelet packs too.

Perfect presents in our opinion, if you can bear to part with them!

Find more of her gorgeous work in person at the Winter Arts Market or online at Open Space Images

Jigger And Jolly and a whole lotta Holly…

Christopher Turell-Watts (aka Jigger and Jolly) is a local artist who makes one off and small run batch ceramic sculptures, musical clouds and intricate lace inspired terracotta tea light holders.

We love these little guys:

Alongside these creations he is launching “Willow Pattern City” – a new series of plates and mugs with Liverpool buildings and landmarks in place of the traditional Willow Pattern you see on china.

You can see what other creations he’s cooking up on his blog at http://www.jiggerandjolly.blogspot.co.uk/ and don’t forget you can see his work in person on both days of the Winter Arts Market this year which is at Liverpool St George’s Hall (opposite Lime Street train station) on Sat 8 and Sun 9th December.

Warra Yer Like

Karen Edwards is an artist specialising in lino-cutting, screen-printing and Letterpress printing. She often combines the techniques to create useful items such as stationery, tote bags and tea towels and also limited edition/bespoke prints for the home.

We love her Scouse Sayings print…

She tells us “My current focus is traditional Letterpress printing using a vintage press and type. I adore this method as each print is unique and the salvaged printing blocks often show their long history in the form of dinks and scratches. I delight in bringing this British made equipment a new lease of life and producing artwork that can be appreciated by a new generation”

All of her work is hand printed and beautiful! Come and visit her and over 120 other artists at the Winter Arts Market on the 8th & 9th December this year!
