Join us at the largest arts and crafts market in Merseyside, offering shoppers the chance to buy handmade artwork and gifts in the lead up to Christmas.

Discover work from over 200 artists, designers and makers as we transform the magnificent Grade I Listed St George’s Hall into a vibrant arts village displaying thousands of colourful creations. A wide variety of handmade work will be available including intricate jewellery, original screenprints, paintings, tableware, beauty products, colourful decorations, accessories, textiles, photography, knitwear and much more at prices for all pockets.

There will be lots of different artists and makers selling work on each day of the event!

After your shopping relax and refuel at the café where you’ll find scrumptiously seasonal food and drink including festive food,mulled wine and mince pies!

It’s our fifth annual Winter Arts Market!

The largest arts and crafts market in Merseyside returns on the second weekend in December, offering shoppers the chance to buy handmade artwork and gifts in the lead up to Christmas.

Over 200 artists and makers will transform St George’s Hall into a vibrant arts village for the event, displaying thousands of colourful creations on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th December.

A wide variety of handmade work will be available including intricate jewellery, original screenprints, paintings, tableware, beauty products, colourful decorations, accessories, textiles, photography, knitwear and more.

120 Arts & Crafts Stalls
Each day sees 120 stalls with artists and makers selling paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture, textiles, knit wear, clothing, cards, ceramics, jewellery, glass, beauty products, accessories and much more at prices for all pockets.

There will be lots of different artists and makers selling work on each day of the event!

Vintage Fair
For the first time the event will also play host to a Vintage Fair in the beautiful Concert Room. A stunning and apt location for a vintage event Charles Dickens described it as ‘The most perfect hall in the world’.

Café
After your festive shopping relax and refuel at the café where you’ll find scrumptiously seasonal food and drink including lunches, mulled wine and mince pies!

The Winter Arts Market has become a staple event in the Merseyside arts calendar, and 2013 sees the fifth installment of this special event. As a festive celebration of arts and crafts, the event is a creative showcase of the region’s most imaginative and skilled artists and designer-makers.

Taking place in the lead up to Christmas Open Culture organise the event with Liverpool City Council to provide shoppers with an alternative to the high street, and provide support and opportunities to artists, designers and makers to exhibit, sell, promote, network and sell their work and services directly to the public.

The Winter Arts Market has become a staple event in the Merseyside arts calendar, and 2013 will see the fifth year of this special event!

A huge festive celebration of arts and crafts, the event is a creative showcase of the region’s most imaginative and skilled artists, designers and makers.Taking place in the lead up to Christmas it presents a fantastic opportunity to exhibit, promote, network and sell your work directly to the public.

In 2012 the Winter Arts Market saw over 6,500 shoppers enjoying the grade I listed St George’s Hall, which was transformed into a treasure trove of gifts and artworks from over 160 creatives.

We are now accepting applications from artists, designers and makers of all kinds.

The closing date for applications is Midnight on Sunday 22 September 2013.
