See you next time!

Phew! What a weekend!

We thought you might like to see some snaps from the Winter Arts Market – there are lots more to follow, but in the meantime we’d just like to say a big thank you to:

– the very talented artists, designers and makers who exhibited and sold their work

– the thousands of people that came along to enjoy and support creatives from across the region.

– the brilliant people behind the scenes who make St George’s Hall a truly magnificent venue

– the impressive mix of performing artists who moved and delighted audiences in the Crown Court Room programmed by the marvelous Mellowtone

– KECS Creative for the children’s magical antler workshop

– the roaming historical characters of Lormac Productions

– our tremendous helper Anna Cahill!

–  and all of our very supportive colleagues, friends and families.

Join us next year for the Winter Arts Market – 7 & 8 December 2013.

The items are made using a variety of fabric types as well as re-used colourful fabrics. They are beautifully embellished with snippets of fabric, threads, embroidery, beads and feathers and would make a wonderful and unique gift. You’ll find Cass on Saturday 3rd December (remember it’s two days this year!) exhibiting in the Elms, Reid or Cockerell rooms.

She tells “I use original classic tracks and also do limited editions of my own creative labels as the clock face. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Prince, David Bowie are amongst the best sellers. I also have LFC and EFC related songs, which are very popular during the festive season.

Champangels

Melanie Little - Champangel Nativity!

Melanie Little makes recycled “Champangels”

Champangels are little dolls made from Champagne corks, lovingly hand painted. Their look is partly inspired by Matroyska dolls, with big pretty eyes, and rose bud lips. Champangels take the form of Christmas tree decorations, but also key rings, fridge magnets, or just free standing, so you can enjoy your Champangel all year round.

Melanie has also been commissioned many times to create sets of portrait Champangels, working from photographs, of her customer’s friends/family/pets etc.

These are so adorable you won’t be able to choose!
