Indigostitch is a home-based craft business run by Tracey Nichols in Liverpool.

If you’re anything like us you’ll not be able to resist all her colourful textile creations tumbling out of vintage trunks and suitcases. Her upcycled lambswool brooches and accessories make perfect little gifts, and you will also find her ever-popular candy coloured matryoshka doll decorations and bags! Each piece is unique and of course handmade.

She’ll be selling her work in person at the forthcoming Winter Arts Market on both Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 December this year and her stall is not one to be missed! At just £1.50 to enter you can browse work by over 120 artists and makers on each day. (Under 16’s go free!)

Lucy Hopping makes very cute patchwork animals made from a variety of patterned, fluffy and metallic fabrics. And she’ll be one of  112 (!) artists and makers selling their creations at the Winter Arts Market at St George’s Hall, 10am-5pm Liverpool on 27th November 2010.

“I can personalise them for the customer by embroidering a name onto the tummies – these have proved very popular for new babies and children as special gifts. I have also had a number of comissions using customers own fabrics that have special meanings which become modern heirlooms which I enjoy doing”

Lucy also makes knitted toys and felt characters as brooches and keyrings and especially for the Winter Arts Market she’s busy making Christmassy decorations and Christmas cards with felt and wool.

Indianna Mcmillan-Parker makes a range of crafts all lovingly knitted and stitched in Liverpool. Among the many things she will be selling are beautifully hand knitted beanie hats and socks for babies and adults, cosy felted knitwear baby shoes, fun potted cacti pincushions and charming felt christmas robin decorations!

Indianna says ”  loved the cheery, childlike quality of felt and began making simple pincushions as and when I could. I started selling my cacti pin cushions, ‘Sew your own’ about 3 years ago at Craft Markets in the Liverpool area, along with my mother’s hand knitted items.”

“More recently I have been experimenting with reclaimed felted knit wear. From jumpers and other garments I have started to make baby slippers.”
